Enactus Warwick is a not-for-profit entity.
Enactus Warwick cares about your privacy. For this reason, we collect and use personal data only as it might be needed in keeping with Enactus’ purpose to encourage entrepreneurial activities in university students in connection with business leaders and enriching our program for our members. Your personal data includes information such as:
- Course of Study, including Stage of Study
- Email address
- Other data collected that could directly or indirectly identify you.

Collection and use of personal information
Enactus Warwick collects information so that we can provide the best possible experience when you become a part of the Enactus network. Much of what you likely consider personal data is collected directly from you when you:
- Complete an application form
- Subscribe to our newsletters
- Drop your CV
- Participate in surveys or otherwise participate in activities that might require information about you.
This data is used solely by Enactus Warwick and is not shared, traded or sold to third parties with these exceptions:
By creating an account as a faculty member or a student with a team, your information will be viewable to the faculty members & student leaders of your team.
Enactus Warwick may provide information about our event attendees to Enactus staff as well as exhibitors, sponsors and attendees of that event. This data includes: names, titles, and company/university names. Event attendees may choose, at any time, to be removed from these attendee lists by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Enactus Warwick may share data with other companies who process data on behalf of Enactus Warwick or provide other services (i.e. email service providers, data collection tools, data processors, learning management systems) as well as services with regards to our website (i.e. payment processors, website hosting companies) to fulfill our mission. Such companies will only receive information necessary to provide the respective services and will be bound by confidentiality agreements limiting the use of such information and contractual obligations requiring those companies to respect your privacy rights and the security of your personal information.
Our Enactus Warwick websites also collect non-personal data using server-based “session variables,” which we use to ensure important site functionality, including the recognition of logged-in users. Our websites also uses a single “cookie” (a small file stored by your browser on your hard drive) to collect non-personal data.
Our webserver also records IP addresses (the number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet) from all visitors to our site. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our site, analyze trends and to track user movement, as well as to gather broad demographic information—for continually improving our website and delivering personalized, custom content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information and their collection is standard procedure in most webserver environments.
Where you register or login using a third-party single user sign-in we may also recognize you as the same user across any different devices you use and personalize your user experience across other Enactus sites you visit.
Transfer of personal data abroad
Enactus Warwick may collect and use the geographical location of your computer or mobile device. This location data is collected automatically and is used to provide you with information regarding services which we believe may be of interest to you based on your geographic location, and to improve our location-based products and services.
Social media widgets and applications
Enactus Warwick web sites may include functionality to enable sharing via third party social media applications, such as the Facebook Like button and Twitter widget. These social media applications may collect and use information regarding your use of Enactus Warwick web sites. Any personal information that you provide via such social media applications may be collected and used by other members of that social media application and such interactions are governed by the privacy policies of the companies that provide the application. We do not have control over, or responsibility for, those companies or their use of your information.
In addition, Enactus Warwick web sites may host blogs, forums, crowd-sourcing and other applications or services (collectively “social media features”). The purpose of social media features is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and content. Any personal information that you provide on any Enactus Warwick social media feature may be shared with other users of that social media feature (unless otherwise stated at the point of collection), over whom we may have limited or no control.
Links to other sites
Our websites contain links to other websites. Please note that when you click on one of these links you are entering another website, for which Enactus Warwick is not responsible.
Enactus Warwick may use your personal information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other materials that maybe of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send or by contacting us at email@example.com.
We do not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from children under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 16 without parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Photography and Videography
While attending an Enactus Warwick event you may be filmed, photographed or recorded. We, including our agents, assignees, employees, affiliated organizations, and partners worldwide, may use these films, images, or recordings for marketing purposes.
How you can access or delete your data
Access to your personal information
You can review your personal information by logging into the secured area of our site or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Enactus Warwick stores and maintains your data for the duration of your relationship with Enactus Warwick.
Removal of your personal information
You may request that your personal data be deleted. It may take up to 30 days for your data to be processed in deletion. You have the following options to do this:

HOW/WHERE WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA, WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND WHY WE COLLECT IT
Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).
Enactus UK will collect your personal data when you:

· Join the Enactus UK Community as either a Student, Alumni, University Adviser, Partner Organisation, Business Adviser

Mentors, Advisors and Students
If you register as a member of Enactus UK (which includes but is not limited to: Student Team Member, University Advisor/Business Adviser/Alumni Mentor or Partner Organisation), we will collect your personal data in order to be able to identify you as a Enactus Member. We will collect information only where relevant and send you news, updates and relevant communications. Where necessary, we may share your details with other Enactus UK Members in order to effectively deliver the services to each member as part of the Enactus UK Programme. Occasionally we will ask you to participate in surveys which help us to assess our work and the programme delivery.
Interactions with Enactus UK
If you meet an employee of Enactus UK, for example, at an event and give them your contact details they will keep this information in order to contact you in the future about topics which might be of interest to you and surveys which you might wish to participate in. They may also share this information with other staff members at Enactus UK.
In line with the GDPR, we must have a legal basis for processing your personal information. In the situations described above, we process your personal information for one of the legal bases set out below:
· Legitimate interests- We may process your information where it is in our legitimate interests to do so as an organisation and without prejudicing your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
· Consent-We may process your information where you give us your consent to do so. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us.
TRANSFERRING DATA TO OTHER COUNTRIES
Enactus UK will not rent or sell your personal information to other third-party organisations.
However, where you have given us permission, we may share your details with partner organisations both in and outside of the EU (Including USA) on the basis anyone to whom we pass it protects it in accordance with applicable laws. We are in the process of ensuring that, in the event that we transfer information to countries outside of the EU, your personal information receives an adequate level of protection in a way that is consistent with and which respects the EU and UK laws.
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data. CHANGE OF PURPOSE
We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose.
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.
We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
You have the right to request access to your personal information at any time. You also have the right to request a correction of any personal data or ask us to delete any of your personal data from our records at any time. What we may need from you
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
